Your Tech

Location, Location, Location
Pick the perfect spot to conduct your interview, do not rush around trying to find the right spot on the day. Place your laptop or phone on a stable surface, do not have them bouncing around and make sure they are at the right height with your head and shoulders perfectly framed on the screen.

Lighting
Check the lighting so it’s not too dark but also not in front of overhead lights or where you have shadows casting over your face, ideal position would near a window with your face towards the light.

Although you will not be meeting with the interviewer in person, always dress to impress and sit up straight, remember the first impressions are important and they can make or break it for you.

Silence anything that may interfere with your interview, including your phone and email notifications. Don’t have a television or radio on in the background, ensure people around you know you are completing an interview and don’t walk in the background of your screen, or have a pet walk in front of your screen.
