Jan has owned and operated a very successful recruitment organisation since 2003.

When her father was diagnosed with dementia, a few years ago it was inevitable he eventually be put into care.
During this time Jan experienced how much the Healthcare Industry was struggling to find the right carers and decided she wanted to do something about it. This is how Active Carers came to be.
​
Jan set about finding strong, compassionate, good quality carers with passion to help look after our community’s most vulnerable. She believed this was not enough and these dedicated people need on-going training and development. To achieve this, Active Carers have partnered with training organisations to provide its carers with on-going training and development to maintain and uphold the standards and commitment of its people.

Soreen has worked in partnership with Jan Gonzalez for over 20 years, the successful partnership has gone from strength to strength, they believe this is due to their alignment of values, ethics and commitment to each other and their business.

As a dedicated and detail-oriented professional, Soreen oversees all the financial aspects of servicing our clients and candidates, including payroll, invoicing, and administrative queries whilst always providing customer service excellence.

Soreen is driven and a powerful force in the workplace, with her positive attitude and tireless energy, she is constantly supporting and encouraging others to work hard and succeed.
Soreen has more than 30 years’ experience in her field, she has amassed a wealth of experience and will always ensure she gives nothing but the best of herself to everyone.

Tamara has more than 15 years’ experience in the Recruitment Industry.
​
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Tamara put her recruitment experience and people skills to good use. As the pandemic escalated, Tamara worked closely with age care and disability organisations sourcing healthcare workers ensuring they had adequate staffing and surge workforces in place, ready to go.
​
During this time Tamara, discovered the privilege bestowed upon her to find caring and compassionate human beings to support the elderly and disabled.
Tamara felt compelled to learn more about the industry and is currently undertaking a dual qualification in Age Care and Disability, whilst continuing to work in Recruitment, and give back to the community by working in the industry in her spare time.
